Are there any farm or fruit stands in or around Cary? I'm looking for what is basically a produce store, I guess, not necessarily with a farm right next door. When I lived in Florida, we had what I've always called a farm stand pretty close by. My mom, who also lives in Florida, has one right down the street. Hers is a true farm stand, I think, since it's surrounded by farm. :-)
I know all about the farmer's market in Cary and one in Raleigh but I'm looking for something closer to Cary that is open every day. I do hit Fresh Market and Whole Foods but those are rather expensive. TIA!
Yes, actually there is but they haven't started up yet. I *think* it's called Country Boys Produce or something? But they have a fairly large stand every year on the corner of SE Maynard and Chatham street and I've also seen them selling on the corner of Reedy Creek Road and Harrison Avenue. I'm sure they will be setting up soon. I remember them being there all spring and summer last year. There is also a Cary Farmer's Market downtown on Tuesdays and Saturdays. They just had their kick off two weeks ago.
I can always count on you, Lamishra, for Cary info. Thanks!
