We live in Riverside. When we bought a few years back people thought we purchased a house on the "wrong" side of capital boulevard but we felt it would pay off as 540 was constructed. We are very happy here with the community pool and backing to the new site of the Horsehoe Farms nature park. The kids play soccer for CASL and whenever we go to Wake Forest we are against the traffic. My DH works in RTP so he has one a quick jump onto I-540. Getting downtown is a bit stop and go but not too bad. I really think over the long term Wake Forest is a bit too far out of the loop for us.

What price range are the homes and what high school is it zoned for? Is it by Smoketree? I do like that location and it's conveniently located.

The zoned high School is Wakefield and the houses really vary in price from smaller homes around $200k to large houses over $300k. There is also some large townhomes but the section right on Perry Creek do not belong to our HOA to they can't use the pool.

I believe Fonville Morrisey realtors have a website that allows you search by subdivision.

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about neighborhoods just outside of Wake Forest. We were looking to relocate to the area but have looked at homes inside and out of the Wake Forest city limits. It seemed quieter just outside of the city with the same housing prices and lower taxes will save us a chunk of change.

If you like it quieter, you may try Rolesville. Do you need to stay in Wake County? If not, there are parts of Wake Forest in Granville county that are more quiet. You can also try Youngsville. What type of housing are you looking for and what price range?
