Hello, I need to see a neurologist and have not been to one in the area. Does anyone have recommendations?

I don't have one to recommend but I previously went through what I'd call a "debilitating headache" that lasted for months. I highly highly highly recommend getting a second opinion when visiting specialists.

My Primary recently referred me to Raleigh Neurology over on Sunday Drive. It is right behind Carter Finely and Cardinal Gibbons High school. I was *very* impressed. A large office with a number of doctors to take care of business. The only thing that could have gone better was my prognosis.

Years ago I saw Dr Keith Hull at Raleigh Neurology Associates and was satisfied.

Different neurologists specialize in different problems. Without knowing why you need to see a neurologist, recommendations aren't very helpful.

That said, over the last 20 years, I've seen more neurologists (and a couple of neurosurgeons) than I can count. Some very good, some not so good. I've found it's a speciality riddled with BIG egos. These are the two DH and I have seen and I can confidently recommend.

Epilepsy = Michael Pietak at Duke. https://www.dukehealth.org/find-doct...el-r-pietak-md

Neuromuscular = Justin Mhoon at Duke. https://www.dukehealth.org/find-doct...tin-t-mhoon-md
