We are searching for a low crime, good shopping, family oriented area to live in. My husband will be working just east of Raleigh/Durham Airport upgrading some of the apartment complexes in the area. I need to know how that area is for shopping, living, crime, etc. I don't need school locations because we homeschool to keep stability in their lessons - we move every couple of years with his job. We will be renting apt or home.

I know that Morrisville/Cary area is nice, but he would have a little ways to drive to work. If it's worth it, we will move there.

Can someone help me?

The area near BrierCreek is nice(just north of 540 on Glenwood(70)
Crime rates will rise if you go any farther towards Durham on Hwy 70.
Also Leesville Rd area is fairly close and there is a really nice neighborhood
there. I will find the name of it and post it. What type of house and
price range are you looking for?

Springdale Estates was the neighborhood I was thinking of off Leesville Rd.
Alot of 300K houses I think but some may be under that.

Lake Lynn is a great area. On the east side there are some apartments
and Westlake is a nice neighborhood on the other side . That whole area
is nice and I don't know of any bad spots around there. We walk at Lake Lynn
and although here was an attack there a few weeks back that is almost unheard of around there.

Smile Thank you

That makes me feel good! Thanks! It was the rape that I heard about and I was concerned. My husband thought the area was good. He hasn't had any trouble. Thanks again.
