What is the local company doing that work? Asking for a friend.

My dream would be to have commercial grade windows because if you have ever been in a restaurant, hotel, medical office, etc. on even the busiest street, notice how quiet those are. I'm sure that would cost a fortune and be a hassle (just like any home remodeling project) but I've thought about it.

Sounds like Window World. They have franchises, so you are dealing with a local franchise owner.

You can buy windows at a home center and get them installed by a handyman.
Plenty of windows can be done for $300.

To go out to the replacement window companies with full service will cost more.

Yup, it ran about $300/window for us for our replacement windows from WW.

The cost is for vinyl inserts into your frames.
If your frames are deteriorated, you might consider having rotten trim replaced and aluminum wraps put over the trim. That wrap will be an upcharge.

The Duke Energy Home Assessment said that spraying insulation in my attic would be a better bang for my buck in terms of lowering heating bills.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a company who does this?
