My son's 10x14 bedroom needs new carpet. Our house is built on concrete slab floors so its a solid floor. Not interested in replacing with a hardwood floor. I can install the carpet myself just not sure where to buy it from.

Also anyone have experience with the adhesive carpet squares? Kind of appealing since I would not have to completely clean out the room as they are "stuck" down. Just move things from one side to the other as I go. Will they stick to a cold concrete floor?

Thanks.

We have used ProSource. It is a wholesale carpet place. Your price will depend on the amount purchased. If you need a contractor to do the work for you, they can recommend people too.

Real Deal flooring outlet on South Saunders St has some good prices on carpet. You might be able to get a really great price on a remnant, too.

I really like carpet tiles.

2'x2' would be great for your son's bedroom floor. I think I would not want them through my personal home common areas, but for a secondary bedroom concrete floor for your son? Yeah.
I would try cleaning the floor and laying them with double-faced tape. No muss or fuss.

If you decide you want carpet, I am certain you can pick up a nice remnant at Bells Carpet in Raleigh. Over behind Costco.
