First and last time I ever traveled to Ohio I got bronchitis (actually already had a cold that had turned into something worse while there). It's a dangerous state.
I just received an email from one of our Chinese suppliers. They are extending their CNY time off to keep people home.
I placed an Aliexpress order 9 days ago, not thinking about CNY, and of course those items haven't shipped yet and now I'm thinking they probably won't ship until mid-Feb at the earliest.
So I have a relative who is visiting and is heading back to China in the next few months and my parents asked me to look around for face masks since Amazon is sold out and they are sold out in the Boston area. I went to 3 CVS/Walgreens stores and then looked online and we're sold out around here as well haha
I guess this is the medical equivalency of milk & bread
They're also sold out in Thailand, in Phuket anyway, according to a friend who lives there. I remember when Singapore would sell out of N95s regularly every Haze season so had to stock up ahead of time.
Do any of these masks really protect against Corona virus?
From some research I did this morning, wearing it doesn't help you if you also don't wash your hands or constantly touch your face (the mask is part of the equation of reducing the risk but isn't effective if you don't do other things as well).
It does help if you do have the virus and can't avoid going out in public. (which at this stage I can't see this situation happening)
Lowe’s had plenty of masks including N95’s down here yesterday in the safety section in hardware. Dollar Tree had huge supplies of disposable masks...10 for a dollar. Hurry
Thanks for posting that. When I lived up north decades ago, I was sick every single year, sometimes twice a year, with some kind of respiratory illness. As a child, I never had a Christmas, it seemed, when I didn't have laryngitis.
But since moving to Raleigh, I can remember only two, maybe three, colds and then a thing where I coughed all night with every breath -- and I went to the Duke Raleigh ER, and the doctor, clearly a miracle worker, had me breathing normally in a few hours.
SO -- I always wondered why I had so few instances of colds, etc. I've been taking Vitamin D for many, many years! That must be it!
