I picked up radar yesterday on Davis Drive south of Davis Drive middle school. Traffic was flowing at 50 but I was doing 45 when he came into view.

This makes you happy? "Caught" makes me think that the police were being sneaky. Lying in wait.

It always seemed to makes sense to me that if the police actually cared about the public good and public safety (just with regard to speeders), then they would not hide. They would be out in plain view, and advertise their presence. Their goal should be to prevent dangerous behavior, not lie in wait so that they can catch somebody who is already acting in a dangerous manner.

I use that only on long trips. The V1 is always on.

They work that good? I haven't had a radar detector in 20 years.

I bought the V1 in 2003 and haven't updated it. Picked up the radar well over a half mile away and around a bend.
