Can anyone recommend a dentist (prefer Durham/Chapel Hill area but will travel to Raleigh, Cary if necessary) who would handle an emergency for a non-patient? My dentist is closed, like closed up tight, like not returning calls. I have a tooth that is giving me trouble, and I think it could be an abscess. I just want (right now) an X-ray to determine the problem, and then if it's an abscess, we can go from there. It could just be a crown that needs further shaping due to an implant next to it settling in.
I'd be OK if they want to do a cleaning, since my appointment in April won't happen (my dentist is closed) but I just don't want to have a dozen services piled on because I may be a one-shot patient.
Of course if I really liked the practice, I might be willing to switch.
I'm not sure how his new practice handles this, but Dr. Glover historically has been awesome in dealing with emergencies. You can try his practice here: https://kloosterfamilydentistry.com/raleigh/
Big ups to Night & Day Dental in north Durham, where they diagnosed my problem as high spots on a crown (=whew!=) Reasonable cost, immaculate office, no upselling.
