I have been to Raleigh many times and have explored a few areas. No area yet has felt perfect. We currently live in a walkable, but manageable, area of Houston (Montrose). I was not terribly excited with downtown. I like the North Hills area - but ease of parking for me is very important as my hours vary every day. I do not want to have to worry about getting a parking spot and no North Hills complex can guarantee parking unless you pay $100+ a month.
Anyone have thoughts on the apartments around Cameron Village, Crabtree, the Wegman's area of North Hills (such as Cortland East, Manor six Forks), or other areas/apartments we might be missing?
Parking, access to groceries, outdoors, and proximity to things to do (theatre, movies, sports) are important.
Any recommendations of good apartment complexes or ones to avoid?
I was under the impression this was an older complex. Looking into it more, the rent prices are incredibly overpriced. Park Central and this place have pricing that doesn't make any sense. They are hugely different than almost every other apartment complex in Raleigh I've looked at.
I lived at Jones Grant across from Trader Joe’s. Parking usually wasn’t an issue. I don’t think you need to spend that much even if you live downtown unless you want something super high end. Jones Grant is only a few years old and has all of the modern amenities. They also have another complex up the street.
I agree with Jones Grant Urban Flats, it's across the street from Wegmans/Trader Joes and a few restaurants and stores. Relatively walkable and several bus stops on Wake Forest Rd, easy commute to downtown. Affordable.
