My husband and I live in an apartment in N. Raleigh (27616). We're moving in May to a house (in a subdivision) in Knightdale (27545). Does anyone know if this will affect our auto insurance rates and, if so, any idea how much? If it helps, we're currently with USAA. Thanks!

Just give USAA the new address for a quick rate forecast in Knightdale. If the exact house number's not yet available, use any one on the street.

Most likely there will be no impact at all. I moved from an apartment in 27612 to a house in 27616 without a change in rate. Also of note, I moved from Charlotte to Raleigh without a change in rate.

Could differ if new area has more or less theft/vandalism claims than older area.

Wise to check.
