I don't think there's much debating. Just a discussion of the vague language.

Good thing pets can still go to the vet. My cat needs a "Brazilian" (or, what I call, a Gazillian) shave down/grooming, with sedation.

Debating? No, discussing.

Why are you visiting and posting in this thread, since it involves trivial, insignificant details about something you are uninterested in, when there's a ****load more important things to spend your time on?

It's not a debate but these aren't trivial details - and community spread is the most important thing to worry about so everyone needs to get this right. Up above I was bitching about the gatherings in my neighborhood and then I remember walking my dog yesterday I stopped in front of his house on the street to chat with him in the driveway a good distance away. So I was no better! But didn't really think anything of it at the time.

Americans don't like being told to restrict things severely - we've never had to do that before.
We aren't a nation of homogeneous, obedient subjects. (Thank God.)

They kind of are trivial details. You talking to your neighbor halfway up his driveway is probably less dangerous than walking a greenway trail which is expressly allowed.

Sure, but multiple neighbors talking a couple of feet apart in the street while their kids zoom by on bikes and skateboards, potentially infecting everyone that passes ... not trivial. The point of requiring gatherings to only be among those in one household is to contain the virus.

I cringe at the world of germaphobes that this is going to create. It's going to suck.

Starting this Monday, April 13, all retail grocery stores are required to limit the number of shoppers in their stores at one time to no more than 20% of the fire code occupancy limit for each store, and have clearly designated 6' distancing markers in places where people will congregate, like checkout registers (per Gov Cooper's order)
