That's what most people don't get. I've seen tons of adults get together in my neighborhood, mostly staying 6+ feet apart from each other, but not understanding that is also not allowed. Of course when their kids are literally touching each other and playing in each others garages or even houses, then it kind of defeats the purpose all together.

I hadn't realized they reduced it down to zero, outside of people living in the same household. I think that's a newer update to the existing guidelines.

My neighbors tend to get together daily. Kids hanging out together and not sure they always keep their distance.

Well, that's not going to happen unless you have Chinese/Russian style orders and enforcement. Yeah, people keep their distance, but they still hang outside on driveways or on streets and talk and enjoy drinks. That's just the American way.

Americans don't like being told to restrict things severely - we've never had to do that before.

It was part of the March 26th proclamation that went into effect on the 27th.

Quote:
All public and private gatherings of any number of people, including non-Wake County residents, occurring outside a single household or residential unit are prohibited, except for the purposes expressly permitted in Section 1 of this Proclamation. Nothing in this Proclamation prohibits the gathering of members of a household or residential unit.

As pointed out, this was from the original proclamation. They just didn't do a good job of articulating it.

I wish they would influence Durham because the multi-household gatherings continue

Pandemics seem to realign priorities.
