Curious to know what neighborhoods are planning. Ours supposedly is "putting a plan in place", but that's all the info we've gotten. Not sure how they can only let say 10 or 50 people in a pool belonging to several neighborhoods. Will they really be able to open?

I’ve been wondering about this. No word from our neighbourhood
What kind of plan could it possibly be?

I would assume they wouldn't be able to open until the Governor institutes Phase 2 of the reopening plan, and the number of persons allowed in will be restricted.

My question actually goes a little further. Our HOA fees don’t cover the pool, gym, tennis setup. You pay an initiation fee plus monthly dues for access to those three items.

The Gym has been closed, the pool is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day, so not yet open.

If they can’t open, do they expect people to pay 80/month for amenities which aren’t even open.... I think I know the answer.

As long as people aren't shoulder to shoulder, a pool seems like a pretty safe place to be.

Unless your HOA has a great liability insurance at this point it’s closed for the season. It’s a public space and while the virus does not spread via water everything else touched at that pool is fair game. Get a kiddie pool this year in the backyard and play it safe.

People sue HOA's when they get sick?

Maybe not HOAs, but reports were indicating that the CEOs Trump was meeting with about getting things back open had that as their biggest fear of doing so.

In a “if we force people back to the office and someone gets sick and dies, can we get sued?”

Point being even the barons of industry see this as a possibility

Wife bought some bounce house/kiddie pool slide combo thing for this reason. Also our direct neighbor has a pool and we will use it if things even partially open back up

I mean anyone can sue for anything (and do), but nobody could ever prove they got sick at a swimming pool, or anywhere for that matter.
