Dog needs a nail job and a haircut. He’s looking like a junkyard dog. Thursday is the day

Other than walking/hiking/playing tennis outside, I have not been (inside) anywhere since March 13. Our groceries have either been delivered or we've done curbside pickup. My first stop inside somewhere will probably be Costco or possibly Weaver Street. I'm not a big fan of eating in restaurants, so I don't miss that. I'm happy with takeout. I'm okay not shopping or going to the library for awhile. Other than those, I don't go that many places around here. Down the road - hopefully in July - I'd like to head up to Cape May. And hopefully we will be bringing my daughter to college in August.

The groomers at the Big Box pet stores at least have been open for awhile.

We thought about doing that, but we held out until his regular groomer started again. We have a Ace Hardware down here with a dog wash. You can pay to use the room to wash your own dog...or there’s a groomer who rents the space two days a week. We let her give him the works.

Cut and color appointment made for May 27th.

Doggie training classes started last Tuesday (YEAH)

I've been doing Costco and grocery runs for us and for our higher risk neighbors for weeks. (Though I won't go back to the Brier Creek Walmart - the one on Shiloh Green Rd, Morrisville is a pleasure by comparison.) Went to Home Depot for flowers last week - absolutely the WORST, most dangerous place I've visited. DH stays in the car.

And I gave blood last month, and have an appointment to do the same in early June.

Took a road trip today. First time I've been more than one zip code away from home in months. I drove up to Nahunta Pork Outlet near Pikeville for a haul of country link sausage. They offered call ahead for curbside pickup too I packed lunch,so no stops for food along the way. Nice little trip. Nice to be back home.

I don’t think we will go anywhere anytime soon. Until the peak is well past us or a vaccine is effective and available we are staying put. We are both working from home as much as possible and going to work the bare minimum but we are essential so have to go some. Once it’s safe again though Target is top of my list. And a grocery store for something other than pickup.

ya know... snuggle up on random people because that's what they want, right? All the protests said no more distancing and open everything up. Give the people what they want and make it count!
