This is what CH schools are giving out to all of their middle and high schoolers. We had to return last year's lower-end chromebook when we picked it up today.

Posted in the covid thread, but also relevant here.

Hospitality rate for those under 18 is 0.008% according to CDC data:

I wish there were more studies about how contagious these mild cases are.

I don't want to go to bed because when I wake up it will begin and I don't want it to.

Our little pod went off without a hitch this AM. At least as far as first day of homeroom, the littles seem to have adjusted fairly well (high engagement on first meeting).

I will note that they are better at muting their mics than most of the adults I have calls with during my days. LOL.

Thanks for mentioning this! We're certainly having problems. The data manager at my son's school said it was a widespread issue when I called, but I'm so stressed I was still irrationally convinced it was just us.

Deep breaths, and remember nothing is really gonna happen this week - we started a week early but the calendar hasn't changed (at least in WCPSS) so we have days built in for shenanigans. I mean, there's no way we really expected this to go smoothly in 2020, did we?
