Got my first take-out last night since March...drive through Bojangles We took it to a nearby rest area and ate outside under a picnic shelter. We brought along a plastic tablecloth to cover the table.

Going to a public restroom is real interesting...more so than usual.

Ate at Mellow Mushroom in W/S on Friday. They have old sinks (not sensor type, so have to use hands to turn it on and off)...same with soap dispenser. This means having to collect a bunch of paper towels before even getting started - so i could wash my hands and then use the paper towels to shut off the sink and then open the bathroom door. This is way more thought than I want to give to using the facilities, but honestly I've always been leery of touching surfaces in a public restroom. The kind of restrooms without doors (like you often find a movie theatres) are definitely the wave of the future.

Ugh yeah I can't deal with non-sensor public bathrooms in this day and age anymore. Too many people "in the before times" would do some demon exorcizing in a bathroom stall, come up next to you, then like rip back the handle with a bear grip for like 3 seconds, shut it off, and pull the door open. It's just so gross.

I do think new construction is going to see significant changes in public bathroom standards. I like the "open" door plans or if you have to have a door, I also like the doors with an inside toe-pull so you can open the door with your foot. I can see why in some space-conscious locations it's just not feasible to have the open door style though.

Easy solution: Just turn it around and wear it again.

Anyone tried downtown Apex sidewalk dining, where all the parking spaces, except for handicapped are gone?

That's a great idea, hope more communities do this. I feel bad for some of the restaurants who do not have outdoor options, sometimes take-out just doesn't cut it.

We've been downtown Apex twice recently for outdoor dining and didn't see anything different. All spaces on the street had cars in them.

The change was made within the past 3 or 4 days.
