Well, there may not be any programs going on yet? Also, they are probably allowing people some time to find masks, which at one time were hard to come by.
What - there aren't ANY people in the NC State buildings? I'm not familiar with the institution, but I find that pretty hard to believe. Yes, it WAS a bit difficult to find masks earlier, but not at this point. Sold in many stores, it just hop onto Nextdoor, etsy, or hundreds of other online merchants.
As far as my comments about the ineffective Durham mandatory mask policy, I live literally on the Wake/ Durham county border. All I needed was 2 trips to two different grocery stores and one trip to Sprouts to see many (too many) shoppers without masks. Is wake county / city of Raleigh any better? Nope. And I'm not optimistic that wake will improve if they make masks mandatory.
UNLESS the businesses enforce it. THAT would work - Costco proves it. But I dont see that businesses can or will take that approach. Hell, my now ex-hair dresser let some jerk in her shop without a mask. Who's gonna stop them at Food Lion?

Town of Chapel Hill is now making masks available for free to anyone who needs one. Orange County has made masks mandatory at restaurants/groceries/retail stores/public transportation as of last Friday. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, so there won't be 100% compliance. Although, I have read in various articles that if mask wearing is at about 80%, it would be enough to slow the spread.
N.C. State University announced that anyone in a university building or university program will be required to wear a mask starting July 1.
Can somebody explain to me what the logic is to waiting until July 1st?

there's nothing happening on campus until July 15. I could ask a year-round employee if they're all wearing masks currently.
I would be surprised if anyone is in the buildings at State. My spouse works at UNC and pretty much no one is in the buildings there. He's been working from home since March and has been to his office once or twice to get stuff and reported it was deserted.
Did y'all see the articles about the hairstylists in Missouri that were symptomatic with Covid, but worked for like 8 days and cut hair for 140 clients, but did not pass it along to any of them because the clients and the stylists were wearing masks and following best practices as far as covid prevention. https://fox4kc.com/news/health-offic...i-great-clips/ Masks work.
Bo has suddenly decide that its somehow necessary to have the percentage of positive tests made available by county. The reason for that remains unknown, although I suspect its simply because its unavailable, and that gives him a reason to claim its necessary.

For NC, I'm using NCDHHS data. If you've found Wake County testing/demographic data - I've been looking for it myself, so I'm sure we'd all appreciate your contribution.
