Oh look...a bunch of transplants want our statues to come down. Shocker
Why do you want statues of losers that fought a war that is anti-America of today? Statues often erected decades after the war was over designed to suppress minorities. Why should we "honor" people on the losing side?

I was born here and at least like 6 generations of my family lived in this general area of NC or just over the bringer in VA for a bit and I want them down.
When did the ballot box have a vote for removing/relocating those confederate statues? The one in downtown Durham was town down by protesters three years ago. Was there a vote on removing that before protesters took it down? Was there a vote on removing the ones that were torn down in Raleigh?
Discussion, debate and votes no longer matter. It is about mob rule now. The ends justify the means as they say.

Yeah, the time for all that has passed. The legislature forgot they represent all the people of the state of NC even the darker ones. So the people went all Boston tea party and wow, that still works! They could have stayed in power if they hadn’t been so anti constituent but hey, November’s coming.
