Any places that buy movies? Even better if they offer store credit (like used bookstores do.)
We aren’t expecting to make much. :-)
I just DM'd you, if you (or anyone) has Sopranos Season 6, pt.II for sale, I'm interested in buying it. Also, "True Romance" (movie)
In addition to the other suggestions, if you were to donate them to a non-profit thrift store, you can write off the retail value of the DVD's, and probably save more in taxes than they couple bucks you'll get in credit, and it's for a good cause.
Regarding Sopranos and True Romance: Direct message me if you have it and want to work something out.
When we moved last year I couldn't sell a single DVD. I even tried including them in other sales (buy any item, pick a free DVD as a gift). We deposited all of them (with our CD's) at Goodwill and hoped they could make something from it.
However, my nephew collects DVD's, has something like 2,000 of them (he recently posted a picture of his office and the walls are lined with DVD's) and mentioned that he buys them in bulk at yard/garage sales for almost nothing. Although he lives up North, you know he has a few kindred spirits somewhere in the Triangle.
They are useless. I have like a collection of the nerdiest DVDs in my house. They are part of my book shelves. No one wants them now.
But, you could keep them all and hope that Zoomers in 10 years will fall in love with DVDs/CDs again. Then you make a big buck. Maybe there will be an anti-Spotify, Amazon and Facebook movement. Almost like the ending of Fahrenheit 451.... all these kids walking around with their vintage walkmans, CDs and DVDs. They go like "this is the best, man, you are not on WIFI constantly so the "turd sandwich Zuck" is not harvesting your data." And, you'll be like a super hipster and go like "I had these before they were cool, bruh".
If you want to venture down to Greensboro you can go to Ed mckays.. they buy used cds, dvds and books!! I'm 39 but still prefer buying cds and dvds. I still like buying the physical objects lol makes me feel like I actually own it over streaming.. I know one day I'm gonna have to cave in and go all digital..
