Canes are taking their game to the Preds, for sure.

Now that was an enjoyable win minus Reimer not getting the shutout.

Detroit beat Tampa in regulation.
Canes are in 1st place in the Central Division, and 2nd in the league.

We need a couple of wins in Detroit to solidify.

Rumors floating that Eric Staal could be traded back here as a rental. Where would he fit? Would this be a wise investment?

If Ron and Don say so, I'm good.
If you're asking me to make the call? Probably not.

Nooooooo, we have the best Staal, let's stick with him. I spent many hours at practice watching ES skate like he was literally skating in mud. I can't imagine that's improved with age. It's a no from me, dawg.

Depends on who else is available at the trade deadline and how much we give up to get him. I agree that EStaal's mobility has declined, but Mark Recchi and Glen Wesley weren't the most mobile guys in 2006 and I doubt we would have won the Cup without them.

Jake Gardiner to Waivers, headed to the taxi squad. Cap savings, and a bit of a boost for Bean and Fleury.
