I voted earlier this afternoon at the Avery Street Rec Center in Garner. Got there at about 1:30pm, waited in line for maybe 10 minutes outside. Finished everything up and left a few minutes before 2pm.
I voted at Wake Tech on Fayetteville St. on Thursday at 12:45. Very well organized and was in and out in about 10-15 minutes. They held it in a well ventilated gym with hand sanitizer and a pen to boot. What was very touching to me was when the voting officials rang a bell and clapped whenever a first time voter got their ballot to vote. It was nice to have something pleasant to experience like that during these trying political times.
voted at Lake Lynn this morning and there was zero wait. Got one of those "I voted in the 2020 Election" pens and then there was a food truck out front handing out free water/snacks for people who voted (seemed to have been sponsored by Uber Eats haha)
It's funny looking at the wait times - right now there's a 1-2 hour wait at Cary Senior center, and a 5-10 minute wait at Herbert Young. They are a 9 minute drive from each other
Not sure why more don't use Herbert Young - went there last week it was a breeze.

IDK either - I had the same experience last weekend, saw all the people turning into senior center and kept right on driving to Herb Young.

Exactly what we did on Friday. Walked right in and voted.
