Hi. I need some ideas for a day-trip with my little ones. We live in Youngsville & dont mind driving 2 - 2 1/2 hrs.

Weve been to the Zoo & the beach several times. We are just looking for different ideas that will keep them entertained for the day yet still enjoyable for mommy & daddy

Thank you!

We took our 4 yr old to Pullen Park in Raleigh and had a great time. They have a little train ride and carousel.

We packed a picnic and spent about 4 hours there. It's really pretty with all the flowers and great place to take some pics.

Funny.. I just said something about this on another thread.

have fun

That was my suggestion, as well. They've got lots to look at outside and inside. My one year old goes there weekly with his day care and loves it. On a nice day, be sure to take the train outside.

Exploris (I believe it is called the Marbles kids museum now) and the IMAX theater in downtown Raleigh. I love that area. Also, maybe the waterpark in Greensboro once it gets warmer...it is called Emerald Pointe. Perhaps a nice botanical garden like Duke Gardens, NCSU's JC Raulston Arboretum or the NC Botanical Gardens at UNC. Those would be a good way to get some cute pics of the kids. erm....can't think of anything else off hand...
