If people are causing trouble in Raleigh this week, they're either unhinged or just plain moronic because North Carolina's electoral votes went to Trump.......
True, though members of NC's congressional delegation voted to confirm Biden, including both our Republican senators, so there is something that could be protested here. Also, since the state voted for Trump it means we have more of those voters here, and some might not be up for driving all the way to DC.
"One side". Really? You really need to let that mentality go, or you will forever be blaming others for your own problems.
If *any side* doesn't want democracy, it's the looney antifascist folks. But see I'm a normal person, and understand that isn't how "that side" (collectively) really thinks.
A normal person wouldn't have to be told repeatedly on the same thread to stop with the falsehoods and false equivalencies like you have. For the last time, if you can't stay on topic and have something truthful worth saying, then don't say anything at all.
do y'all go about this the correct way, and report a post (the red hazard sign top right), or just think moderators keep tabs on every thread, or have an alert for "mods" or "moderator"?
I reported it when Vatnos went off the rails. Feel free to also report it.
PS - whoever is the OP - you're not supposed to copy/paste a wall of text, and are supposed to put what you do paste into a quote box. This indicates it's not your thoughts, rather you have copied possibly copyrighted material.

Only mods can close a thread, which is something that we can’t do ...and this needs to be closed . I’ve seen mods close a thread about friggin lasagna (and so much more frivolous , harmless b.s.) , but they refuse to close this thread . Smh .

I thought he has. It has been both sides causing chaos in the country, you have to just be ignorant to ignore that. Sure the republican side was the latest round of protests but for the last year both sides are guilty. Doesn't make either side right, makes both wrong imo.

Once again, the issue of this post is that government agencies have cited credible threats have been discovered for all state capitals and how Raleigh is reacting. It's public safety in the wake of a domestic terrorist attack in Washington, D.C. That's it, pure and simple. Instead, posters like you and Wheelsup apparently think that somehow means "whataboutism" and "both sides are bad" rather than talking directly about the subject at hand, and Wheelsup added factually incorrect claims in his false equivalency as well. By doing so, your approach isn't helping this discussion.
BoBromhal, thanks for the heads up about the posting rule here. I'd forgotten that and will observe that in the future.
