Outside of the three main counties in the Triangle (Wake, Durham, Orange), which town on this list has the brightest future? In terms of growth, jobs, location, amenities, etc.
Clayton is certainly the most developed at present with Mebane close behind. But I believe Pittsboro will grow faster -- and it appears to me that the developers in Chatham County are positioning the area upscale.
Pittsboro and Clayton seem like the obvious answers. With the first primed for huge explosive growth with Chatham Park underway and the latter already becoming more of a full-blown suburb.

Why has Clayton grown when it is quite far from RTP? Is it because it's close to downtown Raleigh?
Mebane is as much a part of the Triangle as the other communities you listed with the exception of Pittsboro which is definitely part of the Triangle. I never think of Franklinton when I think of "Triangle". Mebane is a few miles closer to RTP than Clayton or Angier or Franklinton is.
Mebane should be on your list. 3/4ths or more of it is in Alamance County.
First one not on the list that I thought of.
