Last time I drove passed there I noticed the construction, and maybe one garage closed? Hard to tell. My husband is going over there for his Covid vaccine this weekend. Going south from 540, is it easier to find parking using the Wake Forest Road entrance or better to go around the back on Executive Drive?

i would consider calling the hospital and asking them what is the best place to enter for someone getting the vaccine. There are so many ways to get in over there and I guess he'd want to park in the garage?

Are you SURE that's where he's getting his shot? We've had at least a dozen of our neighbors and my DH get them through Duke. AFAIK, they ALL went to the Duke Alumni Center.

YYYYEEEESSSS. There is more than one location.

I just checked again. The two locations for Duke are:

Karsh Alumni Center, 2080 Duke University Road, Durham, NC

AND

Duke Raleigh Hospital, 3300 Executive Drive (Wake Forest Road), Raleigh, NC

I would go around back on Executive Drive. That garage is open and it's much less chaotic than trying to decide quickly on busy Wake Forest Road.

Thanks. When I look at the Duke Hospital map it does seem that you're right. Maybe easier entrance/exit that way. Wake Forest Road does get pretty busy and not many places to make a U-turn if you need to.

It doesn't really matter how you get onto executive drive. You should not be parking anywhere other than in the front/side of the one and only designated building where you are to receive the shots.

Once you are on executive drive, there are little flags that direct you to that building.

Ex: If you turn onto executive drive from wake forest (it doesn't matter from which direction of wake forest), you will see little flags on your left guiding you to that building where you will take a left into the parking lot.

When you turn left, there will be employees waving you in and directing you. That is where you are supposed to park. Then you walk a couple of dozen feet from your car to the entrance of the building.

Really well set up/accessible with employees outside guiding everyone...

Sure- just be sure to drive slowly on executive drive so you don't overshoot the turn to the building, it comes fairly quickly--

on the left if you enter from wake forest
on the right if you enter from the other end of executive drive.

Easy Peasy.

3300 building is behind the hospital, not the hospital proper. It has its own park lot. Lots of attendants will be about to direct where to go.
