there probably was never a more popular TV show among those who are media-obsessed on the left than The West Wing. Filmed and shown during a time when the "smart people" who disliked George Bush 2 got to wink and nod at each other for their superiority. Possibly a seminal moment/turning point in our discourse.

politically, the idea that "Dr" Laura Schlesinger has not greater nor less credentials than "Dr" Jill Biden, and perhaps some folks clutch pearls over one or the other is pretty hysterical, ironic, or your favorite derisive mocking word.

Your simpleton belief IS the problem.

Loving your neighbor has nothing to do with it.

Look at I Timothy 5:22b - Do not share in the sins of others.

In other words, you must not be an accomplice to the wrongdoing of others.

God has defined all of GLBT as wrongdoing and you will never be able to change that.

Religions cannot be changed. Only simpleton liberals believe that they can be changed. But any attempt to change a religion does not really change the religion. It creates a new religion with the changes.

The problem is not who the customers are, but what they order. If they order something such that doing it is a violation of the religion of the owner of the business or the worker, then it will not be done.

That person has the First Amendment Constitutional right to not do anything that is prohibited by his religion.

NOBODY has the civil right to command someone to disobey his own religion.

And according to all of the religions that prohibit GLBT, it is not congenital. Most of these religions believe that a person acquires GLBT when that person disobeys the religion in some way.

Or that the couple in question didn't live together prior to getting married or that they didn't have sex before the ceremony (Corinthians has a bunch of verses on this).
It is obvious that you do not know the scriptures enough to make this statement.

First, it is not who the people are, but what they want done. If what they want done is prohibited by the religion of those serving, then it must not be done.

Second, if a divorce is caused by adultery of one spouse, the innocent spouse is not forbidden to remarry (except in the Catholic belief).

Read the OT. Living together and premarital sex both require marriage.

God doesn't allow men to pick and choose when it's ok to engage with a sinner and when its not...Ezekiel lays this out very clearly.
Checking on these things is a violation of the civil rights of the individuals. If you do not know who the customers are or their pasts, then you are not sinning if you serve them unless what they want done is a sin.

Again, it is not who wants something done, but the act they want done that determines whether the religious person can do the act.

Our classic baker may be prohibited by his religion from making a cake with GLBT content, but he can sell a blank cake and a decorating kit and let them put what they want on it.

And when a religion "votes" to allow GLBT, they have voted to disobey God and obey the Democrats. Let's see how they do at the final judgment.

Notice these things:

- No government has the power to prohibit or change beliefs. People will believe what they believe no matter what government says or does. And in the US, the First Amendment protects beliefs.

- Nobody has the power or the right to change a religious belief.

- The GLBT person says the religious person is discriminating by not doing what they want. But the GLBT person is discriminating against the religious person by demanding something that violates the religion.

- Obeying God's prohibition of GLBT acts is not "hating" anyone. It is obeying God.

- Hating God's prohibition of GLBT acts is hating God.

- Notice that God did not say anything about BEING anything GLBT. He said not to DO anything GLBT. And Scripture says that disobeying God leads to GLBT cravings.

- People have the right to obey God. They also have the right to the rewards of doing so.

- People have the right to disobey God. They also have the right to the penalties for doing so.

- God gave us two genders. Liberals invented 5 more and scream and cry until people believe in them.

An embarrassment. It's so demoralizing to think that neanderthals like this still exist.

Agree - and a lot of this thread is demoralizing as well.

I made the shun comment that some think is outrageous.

I guess don't be a bigot and you don't get shunned?

Or we can just call it use of the free market to make that more palatable ?

There is no way I could reply to this and keep us within the confines of the rules of this sub.

If you would like to have a DM convo, cool. If you have no interest, that's fine too.

Short of that, we'll just have to agree to disagree on some of these points.

Thank you for opening this door for me. Too bad people gets so wrapped around the axle because of other humans they disagree with, but it makes for a lot of ad impressions !
