I'm supposed to drive down to Wilmington on Friday. Would you do it? I keep watching Gas Buddy.

I have to go Burlington tomorrow for work. Unleaded is not getting back in Durham fast enough for me to be comfortable for anything after work. I conserved so I have more than 1/2 a tank left. The better bet would be to find gas on the way to Wilmington that may be a secret. That’s my hope tomorrow morning.

We haven't paid for our rental house yet. Don't want to spend an hour in line somewhere.

My neighbors drove from Raleigh to Topsail Beach Sunday and returned today in a big Ford F150. They had no gas issues and I imagine they had to fill up at least once.

In NE Raleigh near Falls of Neuse I have been able to get gas at BP and Sheetz in the past few days with no lines and have seen others gassing up at Exxon and Mobil. Some stations are still completely closed, but my anecdotal observation is that 2 out of 5 seem to have gas every afternoon.

I highly recommend checking gasbuddy for real time updates on which stations have fuel. I used it a lot when I was roadtripping a few years ago too and it was a big help finding stations in unfamiliar places.

Left Leadmine Road to go to Wakefield today, driving Falls of Neuse.

Every gas station I passed had gas. Probably at least 6 of them, with no pumps covered. Each station had between 1 and 3 cars getting gas.

I stopped on my way back to office. No one at Sheetz except me and 1 other car. Sure did hate paying $2.99 per gallon for regular!

I only saw one station between Sanford and Fayetteville that had
gas this morning and two this evening on the way home.

The Sheetz by me had gas and no line. Finally didn't feel like a twerp getting gas for my mower. Legitimately, I do need it, the prairie dock and wild onions are getting crazy...

I ended up having to stop by my regular office in Mebane OTW to Burlington and I was able to fill up at the flying J right off Trollingwood and I-85.

"Gas is the new toilet paper?"

That is a pretty radical take on personal hygiene. I think we are still Cottonelle People here.
