They're renovating a number of them to increase drive-through capacity. They just recently did the Brier Creek one.

Correct. They dont even have a window for pickup anymore, its a door. Also they removing most all playgrounds. Moving mainly towards pick up and drive through only. Chic fil a has vision, they probably dont see an end to this covid junk....at least for a while.

It certainly seems that way at times. But they do have a good product. And very good customer service. Although Popeyes has upped the game with their chicken sandwich. And now everbody else has also upgraded their chicken sandwich, including KFC, McDonald's, Hardee's, Zaxby's, and now Bojangles. The new Bojangles sandwich is very good.

I was sad when Chick-Fil-A stopped curbside pickup. It was nice to just avoid the drive-thru lines without having to go inside. Yep I'm lazy.

Gotta find the right location…Crossroads is one of my two most frequently visited stores and they do curbside.

Slightly off topic, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they demolish/rebuild the Chick-Fil-A at Crossroads within the next couple of years; that location is starting to show its age (~30 years). A location in Charlotte of the same vintage (Arboretum) was rebuilt and one in Durham that was a couple years newer (Hillsborough Road) also got demolished and rebuilt within the past year.

Yes, that's in the works. Going to demo the old Pier 1 next door and rebuild there, turning the existing CFA site into bigger parking lot and improved drive-through flow.

It would have been better IMO for them to have relocated across Walnut and down the street a bit to Centrum, maybe into one of the larger restaurant locations that had been vacant for so long. That would have made getting into and out of the parking lot and drive-thru much easier. As it is now, I avoid that Chick-Fil-A even if I'm in Crossroads for something else because of how hard it is to get into and out of.
