What's it like buying a new car these days in the area? Is everything selling at MSRP? Above MSRP?
Are there any dealer recommendations where I can literally do the entire thing from my chair? Loved buying from Carvana a few years ago, but unfortunately that's not an option anymore.

Plenty of new car dealerships have buy from home programs - I'd guess nearly all of them. Don't you watch TV?
I don't know why they wouldn't do used cars as well.
Husband and I bought a used card from Leith Honda about a year ago. They brought the car to our house for a test drive then when we decided to buy they brought the paperwork and car to us. Never stepped foot in the dealership. It was a super easy transaction.
I think the OP is looking for the current environment regarding the pricing.
I have a relative who just bought (2 weeks ago) and the dealer wouldn't budge on MSRP. No discounts, the only "wiggle room" was in the trade in value and that was nothing to write home about.
We bought literally 2 months before everything shut down (that car still only has 10k miles on it) and we got lucky. Although it's about the time to start looking to trade in the second car I'm going to wait until the craziness subsides.
It is pretty much full MSRP and no haggling. We bought 2 months ago and were lucky the model we wanted wasn't in as high demand so we got 1500 off MSRP. No way I would expect more than that.
Maybe because we did get 1500 off MSRP no negotiating on trade in either.
Hey, in some ways it makes it easier- there's no haggling since there is probably like 2 cars on the lot.
Oh, and you may want to consdier looking in other areas, Winston-Salem, Fayetteville, even Charlotte if you're willing to give you more opportunities.

Thanks. Yeah I'd really like to wait at this point, but we'd have to dump several thousand into the existing car which pre-Covid I wouldn't even consider. Now everything is different of course - it's a tough call.

My coworker just bought a 2021Mini from a dealer just south of Atlanta and they drove it to Cary so he could look at the car. He paid a $500 non-refundable deposit but otherwise was under no obligation to buy the car and there aren't many 2021 models available around here. He was nervous about it at first but was very pleased with the transaction after inspecting the car.
Purchased a Ram truck about 7 months ago....had to be ordered as it was unusual and not what would be on a dealer's lot. Local dealers would not order the truck....said it couldn't be done. Contacted the Ram dealer in Kernersville, NC and they ordered it, kept me apprised of the status and delivered the vehicle to me when it came it. Was able to purchase for well under MSRP.
All aspects of the purchase were done over the internet.
My sister/hubby were looking for a gently used honda civic, no more than 5 or so years old for their daugher who just got her license... after quite some time of looking/research, they came to the conclusion that it was only a 3/4 k difference to buying new, which they did. They said they paid virtually full sticker price.
