I recognize the pop trend but have no hesitation to offer cash tips.
I have never, ever had a service provider decline cash tips. Never, ever. They seem to like it, actually.

How do you get "touchless hair styling?"

And, they don't have to wait on the owner or manager to resolve the till at the end of the day, or depend on them to be honest.

Gemelli uses a separate tipping thing at checkout if you don't have cash.

They may rethink that after getting 1099s and then have to pay tax on anything over $599 for the year...

I almost always tip in cash and to a dollar amount rather than a percentage (round $22 up to $30 for great service or maybe $5 for just good service)
.

Only if they're classified as goods and services. I just send mine as a "friends & family" payment.
