I was just introduced to Trader Joes by my daughter from CA
and I had already decided I would make the long trip from N. Raleigh
to Cary at least every other week because I see what people love about it.
Healthy foods at reasonable prices!!!!
I agree that Trader Joes anywhere in Raleigh is news worthy.
Can't wait til it is here!!!

There's way too much retail in North Raleigh now.

A lot should shut down if the economy continues to decline.

Retailers can't rest until they have a store on every corner. This overexpansion has caused the demise of many retail firms,

Would you be referring to the national economy or the regional? I am new to the area and the regional economy seems pretty strong. Does the local economy seem to be changing?

Plus all my financial sector data shows the economy is not "really" in a bad spot. Far less trouble then the recession of 2001. And no comparison to mid90s.

But back on topic...what would all of YOU like to see in N.Raleigh and Wake Forest?

I would love to see a N. Raleigh or Wake Forest farmers market.
I would go there 3 to 4 times a week but the one
on the other side of town is just too far.
Does anyone else feel this way???

Default Hmmm where to start....

I'd LOVE a:
1.Blendars In The Grass
2.Organic fruit and Veg stand
3.Flower stand (Though Trader's steps up to the plate with their selection)
4.In 'n Out Burgers
5.Peet's Coffee
6.Surf Shop
7.Good co-op with bulk goods
8.Jazzercise
9.I'll agree with the toilet seat covers
10.Good wine bar with Patio seating
Oh and I wouldn't even have considered NC if not for a Trader Joes!

kelly - Wake Forest DOES have a Farmer's Market, open every Saturday:
Wake Forest Farmers' Market Home Page and yes, the State Farmer's Market feels like it is a long, long ways away (even though I work fairly close to it).
