But absolute share price is meaningless when describing the value of a company.
Three months ago, Google was trading at $2,200 a share until they split the stock 20-for-1. The market value of the company didn't change because of that.
Understood. I was simply pointing out that tech is getting smoked of late. Its down 54% since last fall (roughly the same time Meta hit their high, Adobe hit their high. SFDC hit theirs etc etc etc etc etc

Every sector has its cycles. Google’s market cap is still 4x that of Home Depot, even with the decline.
Meta confirms it has space at ATC that will "eventually" be home to 100 engineers. Fairly small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, at least so far.

It's not the amount of people being employed. It's the company employing these people. Apple, Google, Meta etc.
Meta is one company I’d love to *not* have in the Triangle. Definitely no bragging rights there in my opinion.
