I drove by Haddon Hall Townhomes on route 55 in Apex today and noticed the sign said "Garaged Townhomes from the $130's". I swear I remember the sign saying from the $190's last year. Am I having a senior moment or did they actually drop the price that much?
We've noticed this too, you're not having a senior moment! It could be that some different phases are now on sale. Not sure. The location is great, but I do have to say, the townhouses near 55 are butt ugly. It's a shame, because the development as a whole (all those single family houses, other townhouse areas in there too) is very attractive and in a great location.

Maybe it is a new and different phase of the townhomes. Actually, I can't understand the appeal of them at all. They have ZERO yard. They back right up to one another, so if you step out onto your deck, you are on display to the entire world. The alleys are full of trash cans and toys. It's like living in a big apartment complex.......EEEESH!

And they are really right on 55. If they were far below a single family home price I could see the appeal, but there are nice houses out there for $170 that aren't 6 feet from a busy road (not a lot of them, and they get snapped up quickly, but they exist!!).

Our apt complex is very attractive:
Lots of green space between buildings
Park for kids
Central dumpster far away from buildings
Privacy between patios
No junk laying around

Some townhomes are junk.
True, some townhomes and some single family homes are junk.
But renting is renting and apartments are apartments and I have no interest in that type of living. If that was my thing, then Haddon Hall Townhomes might actually appeal to me. I would not be surprised if they are actually renting a lot of them out, as it is.
