… you guessed it, another residential High Rise. Smh.

Legends is arguable one of the most iconic sites in Raleigh.. The two are damn near inextricably linked. Smh.

“The Legends Nightclub opened in 1991 as a private club and over the years became a leader in the LGBTQ community’s nightlife…”

Is Raleigh turning into dreaded arch nemesis and soulless Charlotte?!! Ugh!

Have at it folks …

I'm kind of glad we're a Delta city instead of an American hub to be honest haha

The irony, of course, is that RDU was at one time dominated by American organically and that the CLT airport became dominated by American only by virtue of the Piedmont-USAir-US Airways progression. Yes, you can fly to many destinations nonstop from CLT but the question is, at what price.

Personally I find CLT an unpleasant place to fly in/out of or to change plans at.

I'd rather have the tower. Also, Legends will be back in another location.

There is nothing special about that nightclub and to call it "iconic" is a bit of a stretch.

I live on the same block, and if I had to choose, my choice would always be the tower. It will improve the street level activity, not to mention my property value.

It's downtown, they need density. Critiquing another tower downtown is silly as that's where it should happen.

Yes it is sad Legends will have to leave that location but they will move and blossom elsewhere. It's about the people not the building.

We have a major housing shortage in the triangle area. Every single high rise development is a major victory regardless of the "charm" or "historical factors" of the sites.
