Sanford's logo is simple to go with their phrase "well centered".

Cary's new logo (top left of page) is boring. Better than that flag, though. https://www.townofcary.org/recreatio...n-of-cary-flag

Apex's logo looks like tent camping and/or mountains, so not representative of the town. https://www.apexnc.org/ImageReposito...cumentID=31475

Raleigh's logo looks like an Ag company like Monsanto: https://raleighnc.gov/themes/custom/...leigh/logo.svg or a cigarette

Durham's logo at least looks like a government. https://www.durhamnc.gov/ImageReposi...cumentID=30204 Nice colors.

Chapel Hill's is very old school/boring needs updating, but looks like a city/town: https://www.townofchapelhill.org/home

Carrboro's is fun, whimsical, off-beat, pretty good really: https://townofcarrboro.org/ImageRepo...cumentID=10648

Wake Forest has a nice tree so that goes with the town name: https://www.wakeforestnc.gov

Garner's feels like a house brand grocery store item: https://www.garnernc.gov

Knightdale's is all right. Nice use of the K. It feels a little like a modern hotel: https://www.knightdalenc.gov

Fuquay's is modern, but that's about all I got for it. I don't understand the mix of colors or the little things on top. https://fuquay-varina.org

Clayton's feels like old-timey grits or something: https://www.townofclaytonnc.org

Way to represent a non-native tree Angier and why sooo purple?: https://www.angier.org

Pittsboro, those leaves are not the best, does look like a town, though: https://pittsboronc.gov

Morrisville, more modern, but very bland, could be anything: https://www.townofmorrisville.org

Holly Springs -- you got it going on. That is a very good logo IMO. Ties in the Holly and the Springs. https://www.hollyspringsnc.us
I don't understand how it is possible that Apex's town logo doesn't include "the PeAk of Good Living"

Talk about an oversight!

They do use that text in some places. I imagine they were given multiple logotypes to choose from and use in various places by the designer .

Nothing about that says "oak" though. It doesn't resemble an oak leaf or an oak tree. It's just a generic high tech plant.

Correct. Carrboro is more of a state of mind than a town. Haha

Agreed! It really suits the town well. And apparently they've put a lot of thought into it and even have "brand guidelines" with approved variations and colors. https://townofcarrboro.org/DocumentC...and-Guidelines

I like the Carrboro logo. The Chapel Hill logo & town seal, not so much. The Chapel Hill flag is kinda nice, though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapel...h_Carolina.svg

Apparently that is the goddess Athena on the Chapel Hill town logo.

@builder24car, Sanford's logo is colorful. I get the well-centered thing (in the middle of the state), but it's kinda funny for a city slogan.

Went looking for Fayetteville's logo. I always liked the old script, but found that they have changed it. Do not love the new one.
Old Fayetteville logo.
New one, brand standards.
