Went looking for Fayetteville's logo. I always liked the old script, but found that they have changed it. Do not love the new one.
Old Fayetteville logo.
New one, brand standards.
Well, the new one kind of makes sense -given the large (HUGE) military presence in Fayetteville. I guess they are going for the projection of strength and patriotism. I can see it.

The new Cary one sort of resembles this one (red, white, blue, star theme) but I don't think makes as much sense for Cary -as I alluded to in my previous post. Again, reminds me of a conservative political action committee (PAC) logo.

Yeah, I'm sure that's what they were going for. Not sure why FAYETTE and VILLE are different colors, though. That doesn't make much sense. There are FAYETTE counties in other states (GA, PA, OH, TX, IL, maybe more), but not NC so it could potentially be confusing. At least I'm confused by it and I'm a born-n-raised NCer from Fayetteville. It's also ugly to me. I think you can project patriotism and strength without looking ugly.

I also agree with you on the Cary logo. Very blah and says nothing.

I can just see the headlines now "Cary chosen for new Tesla HQ".

Future quote from Musky "At the end of the day it was the lovely colors in the logo that one us over and at that point tax incentives became moot".

Come on... does a town really need to "brand" itself?

I think SheriffTruman answered your question.

Yes, at least subliminally, they do, to some extent.

After his complete fumble with the whole Twitter thing....I think ole Elon's ego has taken a hit and he won't be making any more big moves for a while...

Not Cary's loss...
