Most indian buffets in the RTP area went away during Covid, are any back? Zayka in brier creek did not, nor did Persis in Cary.

Dharani did not reopen their location on 54, but did open Dharani Express, I think it is near NC State campus.

I haven't been, but I thought the original location was one of the better buffets, pre-pandemic.

Is Naga's South Indian on 54 still open? Haven't been that way since the "before times" and it was a pretty good buffet.

Too far away for an RTP lunch, but Himalayan Grill and Bar at the intersection of Cary Parkway and Kildaire Farm has their lunch buffet back open.

Ah. Remember the good 'ol days of getting an Indian buffet lunch for 10 bucks?

I hope so. I'm surprised it hasn't picked back up. I'm still waiting for it to become a Naan-competitive market again. I miss the old Mediterranean buffet on 55 because you could get a pretty low carb lunch that wasn't boring. (know a good one in Cary or close?)

Urban Turban? I think they still have a sister restaurant in Durham:

Falafel 54

Not sure if the buffet is back.

Edit: just checked reviews and it sounds like the buffet is on.

Persis in Cary has a buffet on weekends. I don't know about during the week though.

Not sure about "before times" (I'm guessing you meant pre-COVID?) as they opened June or so this year (2022). I went right after they opened and the food was amazing. Haven't been back since but according to their website they now offer buffet.

Sounds like that, but i have a hard time believing it.

I used to work in RTP, and now I'm WFH, so I don't get out as often as I used to. Still, I'd imagine a few are running.

Have you checked:
Paradise on 54?
There were a couple on the corner of 54/55
The one that's been for ever on Sedwick and 55 (ugh, I can't recall names right now)

I'm sure there are a few others, I know there is demand. I can't imagine RTP without multiple Indian Buffets
