I wish the story wasn't behind a paywall, but I think most who have been here for a while know that NRG has been doing his Triangle travel blog for some time. It is really quite well done, as most of y'all already know.
Some of us have even met him in person….way back when. He was a youngun then. Around 2008-2009. Hibernian Hall in Cary. Mike was there. Along with several others….many who no longer frequent this site.

Not only 2008-9. We didn't move here until 2012, but we attended a couple of Triangle CD meetups. IIRC, NRG was there.
Which makes me think it might be time to do another? Celebrate our release from Covid Detention? Congratulate Mike J. on his retirement? Just have an excuse for afternoon drinking?

What? Well that settles it, I will stay in my house until I die. I predict that the local housing market will cool quickly when he retires (and there will probably be a shortage of decent pizza and BBQ jokes)
Congrats on your retirement, Mike!
