"No crimes were seen...I think because Chapel Hill is safer..."
Really? I guess this person was expecting see all types of crimes being committed if they stayed in Durham. #smh I've lived in Durham over 50 years and never been a victim of crime and only once been in the area where a serious crime was committed. But, that was over 30 years ago when I was at an outdoor party with a lot of people. So, all I can say is stay in Chapel Hill, enjoy that area and stay safe from all the crime in Durham!
I’m going to tell the mods about your fake post. Because everyone knows about the crime in Durham. Last time I went to DPAC, my car was stolen five times in one night! And I was mugged seven times. In Durham.
My best friend’s uncle’s cousin’s landlord was murdered in Durham. Three times!
Also, I avoid European cities because I heard they had higher instances of hate crimes than here in the Triangle. And I don't want to go to Europe and be a victim!

Sorry for your experiences!
I too have experienced many instances of violence/crime in Durham. I was caught in the middle of a gang war right in the center of Brightleaf Square in broad daylight on a weekday, also I was shopping at Foster's Market where a hooded guy tragically robbed them at gunpoint of all of their Brie and Camembert, and most traumatizing of all being mugged/beaten right on Ninth Street right in front of Whole Foods on a busy Saturday afternoon.
That's nothing. I was kidnapped and robbed in South Durham. Thrown into the trunk of the car, drove to the American Tobacco Campus and dumped into the flowing water.
Nothing in Wake Forest??? They have a kebab / gyro place. What are you talking about???
Hey! There are good bagels here too! And a terrific vegan bakery. We like the proximity to Falls Lake Trails, as well as pretty country roads. But yes, I guess otherwise it's kind of boring.

Thank you all... I spoke my mind...I told you what I have already seen...It does not mean that there is no crime in the area...
