A vote for this one as well! I had some vegetarians with my group, and the waiters and chef went above to help with things. The drinks were also pretty strong and not a "waste of money" as most mixed drinks at places are. Also, they were good with making cocktails for non-drinkers as well and they were good!
An old-school favorite of mine is Melo's on Hillandale Rd which is minutes from downtown. Ravioli Bolognese, Chicken Marsala, Shrimp Scampi, Sausage and Peppers...all excellent and the rest of the menu follow suit generally. Reasonably priced as well! https://www.melotrattoria.com/
Another option that blends Italian with Mediterranean is Parizade. It's one of the more consistent restaurants in Durham having been open many years and always delivers a nice experience. https://www.parizadedurham.com/menus/
