Just curious if anyone has thoughts about this company...good,bad or indifferent?? We would like to purchase a house in Youngsville. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We looked at their homes but decided to go elsewhere. I'll send you a pm and explain further.

We ended up buying in Youngsville, but in a different subdivision and like it a lot here! (There are some 4-yr old homes on the market in our subdivision -- beautiful homes, with an acre or more. Send me a pm if interested where).

Our first home was a denmark. It was not new when we bought it, but it was still 'young'- about 2 years old if I remember correctly.

Unless the former owner did things (and I doubt it, it was an elderly woman who lived alone) we had no problems with the quality of the home. Most of my neighbors bought theirs new and during pre construction, and I did not ever hear any complaints.

This company is wonderful. Moderator cut: orphaned They have a whole packet that they give out with everything listed and broken down about budget allowances and upgrades.

The quality is great and our neighbors are also happy as well. Email me if you would like more information!

My mother-in-law lives in a Denmark house (youngsville) and is very pleased with it as well as their customer service during the purchase and afterwards. However, she told me last week that they have just declared bankruptcy. Can anyone confirm? Shame if it's true

Is the below link the same builder under discussion here? If so I just confirmed they are in Chapter 11

Bankruptcy can invalidate warrantees if ciompany decides it can't recover and converts to Chapter 7.

If you deal with them, be sure warranty is backed by an insurance company bond.

You are correct. I just read about it here as well. It is mentioned on page 2 of this article.

I don't know what this means for potential buyers, but I think it would be important to know this going in.
