So what's the best community out there in the Triangle regardless of price. We are not talking best value here, just the best!

Also, post your views why you think it's the best.

Carrboro, definitely.

Why?
Very progressive, inclusive, forward-thinking community...yet knows how to cherish history and small-town values at the very same time.
Very smart-growth minded and anti-sprawl...more than any other NC city. (You can walk or bicycle pretty much everywhere...who needs a frickin car?)
Quite ecologically-minded populace.
Embraces the arts, music and culture.
Full of great independent, locally-owned businesses...and very very few chains!

I could go on and on really. Very few places in this country have impressed me as much as that town has over the 12 years I've lived in the Triangle.

That question is so hard to answer....there just is no one correct answer. There literally are so many good areas of the Triangle.....some score higher on the cache factor...but that can be just as subjective when you have to live there.

What are you looking for in a community? Urban? Artsy? Close to a University? Retirement?

I like Carrboro quite a bit as well....I just wish it wasn't so far from where my husband and I work!

However, for someone that is very conservative, can't imagine life without taking the Hummer 4 blocks to pick up a gallon of milk, doesn't enjoy diversity and dislikes the arty outlook of life, it would be a living hell.

Default Holly Springs

We are growing like crazy here. It is a great place to live. We just opened up a new cultural center/library here. Novartis is coming. Bass Lake is a beautiful place to visit too. They are building homes like crazy here and plenty of commercial building is underway.

The "BEST" ???
Anywhere in the world that Sweet Thing says we are going to be, if I can be with her.
Seriously. No other parameters count.

What can you tell me about Austin Pointe? It is a new sub-division going up south of 42 off of Old Stage Road.
