Detour-Green Level Church Rd/Green Level to Durham Rd (Cary: 2014, cars)

Anyone know why traffic has been having to detour the past couple of weeks around this intersection near Cary Park, Southbridge, Greystone and Weldon Ridge? Any insight to the "future Morrisville Parkway" in the same area?

I noticed the detour the other weekend when I went for a tobacco trail ride. What a mess. I can't believe how that area has so rapidly transformed. I used to ride those country roads on my bike and see like 5 cars all morning on a Sunday.

Here is info on Morrisville Parkway. While the Davis to Carpenter Upchurch work should get underway in the fall, it won't go through all the way to Green Level-to-Durham until 2014.
