We are moving to N. Raleigh next month and I will be looking for a place for my son to take drum lessons. He has been playing for 6 years and would like to find a young teacher who will teach him to play the music he likes.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Absolutely check out Exploris over on Falls of Neuse. My sister-in-law teaches piano, clarinet, and voice there and I'm sure there must be drum instruction as well. Most of the teachers are younger in age and seem fun. I took an adult ballet class there myself and liked it. Nice facility.

I know this post is old, but did you have any luck finding lessons? My husband and I just moved here from the midwest and he is a professional percussionist with a Masters degree in Music Performance. He relocated his teaching studio to Wake Forest and he is currently taking students. Check out the website if you want to learn more! Nate Campbell Bio ‎(NC Drum Studio‎)
