forming homeowners association, Youngsville ??? (real estate, attorney, transfer)

Our subdivision will soon be transferred from the builder to the homeowners.I would greatly appreciate any input about management companies,the owners choosing to elect our own board or maybe starting by having a real estate attorney answer our many questions and concerns. I'm sure the many fine minds who read this message board will have already gone through this process and survived to talk about it. We are located in Youngsville.Thanks.
