So I am relocating in a month to Raleigh. My family and I want to rent for a couple of months while we get a feel for the area. Does anyone have any experience with the Hidden Oaks apartments?

We rented an apartment in Hyde Park Apts - right behind Hidden Oaks. There are a bunch of people in Hyde Park that moved from Hidden Oaks...
I would say Hyde Park is a better choice for you!

I lived there for awhile 12 years ago. The apartments were not new then, and it is probably pretty old now. I would agree that Hyde Park is a better place. If you want something newer, you may look into the Cary Parkway-Preston area. But Hidden Oaks/Hyde Park is pretty convenient, as it easy to hit I-40 through either Harrison Av or Hwy 54.
