A few months ago we found a wasp deterrent from the online Plow & Hearth catalog that looks like a wasp nest. We hung it underneath our deck and whallah, no more mud daubers building their tunnels under the deck. They're not the prettiest contraptions, but so far have seemed to work amazingly well.
The only real problem that I've had with mud daubers is that they like to build nests in the carburetors on my motorcycle. Those carbs are a pain to rebuild.
We keep an old boom box in the garage to listen to when we are working out there. I just notices several wasps going in and out of it today..Great !

Maybe the wasps are Fanilows and you'd attract more. Try Neil Diamond or Kenny Rogers to scare them off.
