The sun has rose yet again over NC and with the thin
clouds shrouding it came a most beautiful orange
glow. Burnt umber came to mind as if I know what
an umber looked like burnt! But all shades of burning
aside, it is a new day to dive into the questions within
this great forum about the area we call home or may call
home, or maybe just passing through to give a look see.

Questions that range from 'Snakes, Spiders, and Alligators,
to Cuckoo Clocks, Wake County Public Schools. Questions
if 'Durham can fix itself' , to the questions on the local housing
market and is it from being of great value to values less than
we thought! The ole Ying-Yang therory.

So today may not be an Orange Alert day, ozonicalogically speaking
but it has gotten off with an orange glow of sorts. So if eating
and apple a day keeps the doctor away maybe, just maybe
having an orange rise up at dawn will keep all those Snakes,
Spiders, and dreaded Alligators away from this little slice of
heaven we call the triangle!

Oh yea and I only think its fitting to end with the thread about
Sunset Hills in Apex! Have a fantastic day here in the triangle!

Default Good Morning to you, too, Mr. Sunshine!

What a lovely sentiment, Dansdrive -- it is a promising day in the neighborhood!

The mention of a 'red' sunrise however brings to mind "Red sky at night, sailors' delight; red sky at morning, sailor's warning," from our own sailing days down on the NC coast. Wonder what that actually referred to? I never thought to ask for clarification.

Cool site, and interesting explanation, mm34b. Thanks for the link. I grew up hearing it along the coast, and my husband always said it as we pulled away from the docks in the morning, or tied-up for dinner in the evenings.
