Clayton AH, Plantation AH, and Robinson AH in Clayton. Heritage, Wake Forest, Companion, North Wake in Wake Forest. Does anyone know about any of these vets? Positive and negatives about them. Are there any others in Clayton or Wake Forsest? Has anyone worked or know someone who has worked at any of them?

Robinson is a VCA clinic, corporately owned. Clayton Animal Hospital is owned by Dr. Bagley and they have been in Clayton for a pretty good while. Plantation Animal Hospital is owned by Dr. Huff and is pretty new, especiallly compared to the two other clinics.

I can't speak about Robinson because I don't deal with them, but both Plantation and Clayton are very reputable and practice very good medicine.

What is important to you, cost, care, convinience? Plantation has different hours than most clinics as they're opened until noon and then they open back up in the late afternoon/evening, which seems to be very popular with people who work. I personally take my dog to Dr. Huff at Plantation and I highly recommend them.

As for the Wake Forest clinics you mentioned, I would highly recommend both Wake Forest and Heritage. Heritage has a huge boarding facility attached to it, which can be a big plus. Wake Forest is owned by Dr. Manning and rhey are in a newer building, as is Heritage and both practice very modern day medicine.

All of that being said, I can't say that I have heard anything bad about any of the clinics you've mentioed. They are all very different and some I would say maybe get a little higher marks than others, but again, it's all about what's most important to you.

Thanks for your input. I'm asking b/c I'll be moving to the area and that's the type of work I do. I prefer not to work for a VCA hospital. I also need a good place to take my pets. It's always good to get feedback from others.
